Berkeley's crumbling pavement and dangerous traffic crashes are unacceptable.
We can do better.

Berkeley's streets are crumbling. Our sidewalks are a safety hazard, and too many pedestrians, cyclists, and drivers wind up in dangerous or even deadly crashes.
We have a plan to fix it. Measure FF will help fix Berkeley's crumbling streets and sidewalks, while adding safety features for all road users.
Measure FF is the only measure on the November 2024 ballot that:
Provides over $100 million for street paving and sidewalk repair, a funding level the City determined is critical to maintain and improve the safety of our streets and sidewalks.
Guarantees over $50 million for citywide safety improvements, including Safe Routes to Schools projects, better street lighting, improved visibility at intersections, and faster emergency response times.
Has strong oversight and accountability measures from Day 1, requiring Council to maintain 100% of existing paving money, implementing an independent citizen's oversight committee, and requiring annual progress updates and evaluations from City staff.
Measure FF can provide matching funds for up to $1 billion in regional, state, federal, and other funding to help repair and improve Berkeley’s streets.
Berkeley citizens deserve smooth, safe streets. Vote YES on Measure FF by November 5th!

About Us
Berkeley Citizens for Safe Streets - Yes on FF is a diverse coalition of residents and community leaders committed to fixing our streets and making them safe. Our coalition includes former Yes on L and No on L organizers, members of the Vision 2050 task force, public works and transportation safety experts, sustainability advocates, and City commissioners and elected officials.
In drafting Measure FF, Berkeley Citizens for Safe Streets worked closely with stakeholders from across the city. We met with five City commissions, City Public Works and Fire Department staff, City Councilmembers, the City Auditor, and the Berkeley Chamber of Commerce. Feedback from all of these groups was incorporated into the final text of Measure FF, which was designed to be a consensus approach that can move Berkeley forward. Nearly 4,000 Berkeley voters signed petitions to place Measure FF on the ballot in Berkeley for November 2024.
Past and current steering committee members include former Councilmembers Laurie Capitelli and Gordon Wozniak, School Board Director Jennifer Shanoski, former School Board Director Julie Sinai, Councilmember Cecilia Lunaparra, former Public Works Commission Chair Ray Yep, Transportation & Infrastructure Commission Vice Chair Karen Parolek, Rebecca Mirvish, Brandon Yung, Ben Gould, Marc Hedlund, Ben Gerhardstein, and Sam Greenberg.
